Schools

During the spring and autumn semesters, we offer various educational programs for school classes, all focusing on the ocean and ocean literacy. The programs are adapted for pupils in preschool, elementary school, high school and university and are financed by Malmö stad among others. Through fun and educational challenges and activities, we want to awaken the students interest and commitment to the amazing environment that hides underneath the surface and to experience how fun it is to learn outside.

Only schools in Malmö city can book our programs, and all of the booking is done online. If you're going to participate in any ofthe programs you can take Naturbussen to and from your visit. Book Naturbussen here.  If your school isn't a part of Malmöcity you can send a booking request to bokning@smkc.se

After all, the different oceans, rivers and lakes are actually connected but what separates / unites them? After an introduction about the Sound, among others, from an oceanographic perspective, the students bring with them useful and fantastic facts for the outdoor activity. They are equipped with waders, nets and aquascopes and discover the coast and collect samples in small aquariums. Together we examine the findings, with and without a microscope, and test our new knowledge with simple and educational experiments.
